"St. Valentine was beaten with clubs and stones. When that failed to kill him, he was beheaded. NOW LET'S GO EAT SOME CHOCOLATE!!!!" - Damon Lindelof
I've never been fan of Holidays (except for Halloween) and I've never liked all that romantic crap of flowers and chocolates and hearts and naked angels throwing arrows in people's butt to make them fall in love; maybe because I've never experienced romantic love and I'm getting old and bitter and facing the fact that I'll never find love and I'm gonna die alone, but I can't understand why people celebrate Valentine's Day; All I know about St. Valentine is that he was a priest who died stoned (no, no stoned in THAT way, he was killed by stones) and beheaded, he was like Jesus or something? that's the only explanation I can think to this celebration, he must be some "holy figure" like Jesus, otherwise, why people celebrate the brutal dead of this guy? in Christmas we give presents, in V-Day we give chocolates and flowers, makes sense (no, not really).
And before you come and say "if you wanna know about St. Valentine and Valentine's Day, GO TO WIKIPEDIA!!!" I don't feel like it and I don't really care, it's one of those things that bugs me for a while and then I forget totally about it, I have better things to do, like watching the new episode of The Walking Day (today is the premiere of the mid season here in my country) and...........well that's all I have to do tonight, and I'll enjoy that zombie fest more that I could ever enjoy a corny, meaningless holiday (like most of the holidays).
